All around the market square with its historic town hall and post office, there are lots of shops to discover. These shops offer more than just ready-made goods. In Lingen’s pedestrian area, unique owner-managed shops are nestled among well-know fashion chains. Small cafés and restaurants offer places to linger. Cars can be parked conveniently in the underground parking facility below the market square, and the train station is not far off. The best way to reach the market square is by bicycle – that’s the way they do it here.

Shopping in the town center

More than 50 businesses are accommodated under the 230-meter Lookentor shopping center roof. Located right in the Lingen town center, it is the ideal starting point for a weekend shopping spree. Since 2007, Lookentor has been home to all the well-known shops that can be found in any big city. Teenagers, thirty-somethings, and retirees can all find something they like and can afford in these shops.
