'Techniktage' for pupils
Last week, we opened the doors of our Factory in Lingen to over 160 pupils from the region. As part of the 'Techniktage', they were given exclusive insights into our state-of-the-art manufacturing areas and various training professions. The focus was on metalworking professions as well as Sensor and Electronics Manufacturing. There was also the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with our trainees and HR colleagues.
A tour through the manufacturing areas
The day started in the Visitor Center with a brief introduction to the ROSEN Group and our business areas. From the visitor center, the groups went on a guided tour through various areas of our factory. On the agenda were Sensor and Electronics Manufacturing, Mechanical Manufacturing and, of course, our apprentice workshop, which is specially equipped for training purposes.
Insights into various apprenticeships
During the tour, the groups passed various information stands where our trainees took the floor and talked about their everyday life at ROSEN and their training. These included, for example, the professions of Industrial Mechanic, Construction Mechanic, Machine and Plant Operator, Cutting Machine Operator and Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems. The visitors asked several interested questions and were visibly impressed by the state-of-the-art Factory.
Networking and Mario Kart
After the tour of our extensive company premises, there were refreshments for everyone at the end. Over burgers or mac and cheese, the young people had the chance to talk to our trainees directly or to speak to the HR colleagues. This gave everyone a chance to round off the morning together. Mario Kart and our in-house programmed game 'Pipe Inspector' were also very popular here – because the gaming area in the networking tent generated a lot of enthusiasm for sure.
'Techniktag' for Professionals
This was followed on Saturday by the 'Techniktag' for professionals, which was attended by around 140 specialists. The event was aimed at anyone with a passion for high-tech: Machinists, Machine and Plant Operators, Industrial Mechanics, Construction Mechanics and Electronics Technicians. During a tour, participants were able to take a look behind the scenes of our state-of-the-art machinery and talk shop with our in-house specialists at various information stands.
Expert discussions on high-tech
Machine and tool manufacturers were also on site and exchanged ideas with our colleagues and guests. The Ignition Racing Team electric, sponsored by ROSEN, also presented their latest racing car, which was manufactured partly using parts from our machining department. The day was characterized by many technical discussions about high-tech and a good opportunity for exchange and networking.
