Making contacts and getting to know the different facets of ROSEN was the motto on April 28, 2023 for eleven working students and interns as well as for four scholarship holders who are supported by ROSEN this year. At this year's "Students and scholarship holders meeting" in the creative room "Mühle" at the location Lingen (Ems), they could get to know each other and dive into the depths of the ROSEN world.
The event was organized by Clara Wehmeier (HR Talent Management), who had been a participant herself last year and was therefore able to put herself in the shoes of those present. With a beginning round of introductions, the ice broke between the participants.
Insights Into the Development Areas
After that, business input followed. Our colleagues Manuel and Ruben were on board for this. The two gave the students an insight into the different development areas of ROSEN. After a short overview of our core business, Manuel introduced the students to the secrets of the Science Disciplines area. Using three different examples, the students were able to get an idea of what development projects at ROSEN can look like. Ruben presented one of the projects from our newer business fields. Both presentations aroused great interest in the students and they asked many questions.
Facility Tour Across the Company Premises
After the two exciting presentations, the students explored the company premises. During a facility tour, our colleague Frederik (Event Specialist) showed them areas of the site that they rarely see. They first stopped off at the test field before continuing their journey to the new Mechanic Manufacturing. The group's next stop was in the Kasto Tower, our 16-meter-high raw material warehouse. They continued on to the Sensor and Electronics Manufacturing plant before visiting the Maintenance area and finally making their way back to the Innovation Center.
"It was very exciting to get an insight into the departments of ROSEN, which I usually don't have so much contact with. It was also a great opportunity to establish contacts with the various departments and to get to know other students at ROSEN. All in all, it was a very enjoyable get-together and I'm already looking forward to the next one," said Franca Faber, working student in Company Marketing, summing up the event.
Intensive Networking
Once they arrived at their destination, the lively conversations that had already started during the facility tour were continued over coffee and snacks. Other colleagues from different departments joined to exchange ideas with the students. Many of these conversations continued even after the official end of the event – only a few wanted to leave after the exciting three hours together.
