350 Fulfilled Children's Wishes Under the Christmas Tree

In a nutshell:

  • Christmas campaign of ROBIGS and trainees
  • Employees fulfill 350 wishes of children in the region
  • Donation campaign for the Youth Welfare Office Lingen and the SKM
  • ROSEN doubles donation sum to € 3,000

Our first-year trainees and the children from our bilingual grade school ROBIGS have once again shown their commitment to children in the region whose families have few financial resources – this year for the eighth time. On Thursday, December 14, 2023, 350 Christmas presents were handed over to the youth welfare office of the city of Lingen (Ems) and the Catholic Association for Social Services in Lingen e.V. (SKM). In addition, Christina Johanning, Patrizia Lölver (both SKM) and Sophia Bollmann (City of Lingen) accepted a donation of € 3,000.

Great Commitment

"We are very grateful that we are able to work with the youth welfare office and the SKM every year to support families and especially children in the region who have few financial resources. Without the commitment of our trainees and employees, this would of course not be possible and I am delighted to see the high level of willingness to participate in the campaign. As a company, we are happy to support this," said Carlos Sabido Ponce, Head of Location Lingen, on the occasion of the handover.

The donation was made thanks to the efforts of the trainees and with the support of ROSEN employees in Germany. In addition to an internal fundraising campaign, the trainees handed out waffles in exchange for voluntary payments, which also ended up in the donation pot. The donation pot was therefore filled with € 1,500, which ROSEN doubled to € 3,000. The money will benefit many girls and boys in 2024 through the SKM and the youth welfare office.

One Star, One Wish

In the Christmas campaign, children from the region express their personal Christmas wishes, which are fulfilled through the joint commitment of the trainees and employees. The children at ROBIGS make stars, on each of which a number is written. Each number hides the Christmas wish of a boy or girl. The trainees then hang the stars on the Christmas trees at the Lingen site. All employees have the opportunity to fulfill a Christmas wish by taking a star from the Christmas trees.

Paul Schröder, a first-year industrial clerk trainee, comments on his experience: "When I heard about the Christmas campaign during the Onboarding week, I immediately wanted to get involved. I really enjoyed organizing everything in the team and seeing the results today. It's nice to know that we can make a lot of children happy on Christmas Eve."

Christmas Carols

The pupils from ROBIGS were also present at the handover. They put on a Christmas program, sang carols and helped with great enthusiasm to get the many Christmas-wrapped presents into the van before they will made their way under the families' Christmas trees.
